On behalf of the City of Oakley, CA, we are curating a permanent artwork collection for long-term display on two walls within the City Hall lobby.

The subject matter should be inspired by the Delta region, though interpretations can be figurative rather than literal. Creative and non-literal concepts are preferred over realistic depictions, and all submissions will be evaluated based on the merit of the actual artwork. Artists may submit multiple pieces for consideration, as the project is not limited to selecting single works to occupy the designated spaces.

Preference will be given to East Contra Costa County artists located in the Delta; however, all San Francisco Bay Area artists are eligible to apply. The curation process will include the consideration of both existing completed artworks and proposals for new pieces.

Deadline to submit is October 25, 2026 by 5:00pm PT.
